Mr. Charles Staley was Fine Arts Chair and Band Director at Waubonsie Valley High School for twelve years before moving to Neuqua Valley in 1997. He started his career at Eisenhower High School in Blue Island, Illinois. Mr. Staley received his degrees from the University of Wisconsin and the University of Illinois and is a National Board Certified Teacher. Mr. Staley is the Fine Arts Department Chair and will be teaching the Wind Ensemble, Pit Orchestra, and Jazz Band.

Mr. Mark Duker received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Illinois and his Master's Degree from Indiana University. Mr. Duker has taught for twelve years in District 204. He was a member of the original faculty at Still Middle School, and later he became a member of the original faculty of Scullen Middle School. Prior to teaching in District 204, Mr. Duker taught at Glenbard East High School. At NVHS, Mr. Duker will be teaching Symphonic Winds, Concert Winds, Concert Band, period 6, Freshman Percussion Class, and various technique classes. Mr. Duker assists with the Marching Wildcats, and he will be teaching a jazz band.

Mr. Jonathan Lauff received his Bachelor's Degree from Illinois Wesleyan University and his Master's Degree from Northwestern University. Before joining the District 204 staff in 1997, Mr. Lauff taught at Aledo High School in Aledo, Illinois. Mr. Lauff will be teaching the Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band period 5, technique classes, Jazz Orchestra, and is the leader of the Marching Wildcats. Mr. Lauff is an NVHS Auditorium Manager, the District 204 Fine Arts Festival Chairman, and the Assistant Fine Arts Department Chair.

Mrs. Rachel Luhnreceived her Bachelor's Degree from Illinois Wesleyan University and her Master's Degree from Vandercook College. Prior to coming to NVHS in 2005, she taught elementary and middle school band for four years in Morris, Illinois. Mrs. Luhn teaches the Symphonic Band period 2, Concert Band period 7, and technique classes at both gold and main. She assists with the Marching Wildcats Spirit Corps, and also leads the Wildcat Pep Band.

Ms. Samantha Lorens graduated from the University of Illinois in 2006. Prior to accepting the position in District 204, she taught at Algonquin Middle School, and also served as the Assistant Marching Band director at Maine West. Ms. Lorens will be working at Gregory Middle School in the mornings, and teaching Symphonic Band Period 5 technique classes as well as Intro to Music Theory at NVHS. She also assists with the Marching Wildcats. Her principal instruments are clarinet and piano.
