Fund Raising

How do students benefit by participating in our annual fundraiser?

All money raised will fund opportunities like Musical Scholarships, Clinicians, Guest Soloists, Workshops, Educational Travel and More!

How can students maximize their sales?

With big prize money at stake, follow these tips!

Sell to people you know first -- friends, family neighbors.

Ask parents/guardians to take a case of chocolate to work to sell.

Explain you are fundraising to benefit various programs for all music students.

Be cheerful, courteous and smile. Always thank people whether they buy or not.

And remember!  Protect chocolate from heat!  Please do not leave your case of Premium World’s Finest Chocolate in a car, or in direct sunlight!

Hmm. Did you say Prize Money?

That’s right!

Each student selling just one case, and returning their payment by Friday, October 21, qualifies to enter a drawing for cash prizes.

Top Sellers win big: First prize $175;  Second prize $100; Third prize $75. (To be eligible for Top Seller Prizes, a student must sell at least five cases of chocolate. Students winning in the Top Seller category are not eligible for additional prizes.)

Some really important information.

Sale begins on Friday, October 7 and ends on Friday, October 21.

Participants get a case of 50 premium chocolate bars on October 7. For each case taken, the participant must return a check for $50. By participating in the sale, the parent/guardian will be responsible for returning to the school a check for for each case their child takes to sell.

Health and safety reasons, prohibit us from taking back unsold chocolate in open boxes, so participants must sell all chocolate that they take.

Just how much money does the NVHS Music Department earn by selling Premium World’s Finest Chocolate Bars?

Each Premium World’s Finest Chocolate Bar costs $1, of which, 50 cents of each bar directly benefits the NVHS Music Program. For every case of 50 chocolate bars, we receive a generous $25.

What about payment?

Payments are due Friday, October 21, and will be collected in each music room.

Checks should be made payable to your student’s appropriate troupe, NVHS Band, NVHS Choir, NVHS Orchestra.  Please submit just one check for $50 per case.  Please, no cash.

What if I have a question?

Please contact your respective troupe.
