FROM THE ORCHESTRA PARENTS ASSOCIATION:

September 2007

Dear Orchestra Students and Parents;
On behalf of the Neuqua Valley High School Orchestra Parents Association (OPA), I welcome you to a new school year!

To our returning students and parents, I extend my sincere thanks for your time and for the sacrifices you have made on behalf of OPA and the Neuqua Valley Orchestra.  I hope that we can once again call on you to share your talents not only to support our efforts but to engage and mentor new families coming into the Orchestra program.  And to those that are joining us for the first time this year as the Class of 2011, we are especially pleased to welcome you!  OPA is an organization that is comprised of all Orchestra parents, students and directors.  OPA supports Orchestra in a variety of ways – all of which depend on parent volunteers!  OPA offers many different opportunities to volunteer, and I encourage you to become involved.  Not only will your participation benefit your child(ren) and contribute to the ongoing success of this school community, but it is also a means of making new friends, sharing mutual experiences, gaining a unique sense of fulfillment….and having fun!

On this website, you will find a list of volunteer opportunities; a contact list of board members (officers and committee chairs); a calendar of events and important dates, and instructions for subscribing to the OPA email system to receive current news.  Please read this important material and feel free to contact any board member with questions or suggestions.

On behalf of Rondi, Anne, Helen and myself, we thank you in advance for your support and look forward to a terrific year!

Lynette
