Summer Jazz Camp
June 9th - June 13th

For Students in grades 7-12

Students will meet from 6:00pm-9:00pm each day

Jazz concert performed on Friday, June 13 at 7:00

Registrations received after 5/23 will be only be accepted if space remains - register early

Tuition $95.00 ($105.00 after 5/23)

Rehearsals will include training in jazz band playing, improvisation techniques and practice, and an exploration of jazz styles. The listening class will include tips on how to listen to recordings, improvisation technique, and jazz history.

Summer Percussion Camp
June 9th - 14th

Classes meet 1:00pm - 5:30 pm

For Students in grades 6-12

Student Recital will be Saturday, June 14th at 4:00pm

Tuition $100.00 ($110.00 after 5/23)

This exciting camp focuses on developing "total percussion" skills. Students will study percussion by participating in percussion ensemble and attending classes in technique, improvisation, percussion literature, percussion maintenance, and music theory. Students will be placed in percussion ensembles and small groups according to grade level and experience. Complete curriculum varies by grade level.

All District 204 music students are automatically accepted into band and orchestra. All registrations for Jazz and Percussion will be guaranteed a spot if received by May 24th. Please note, it is not possible to reduce fees for absences and no refunds will be given after the session begins.
