Percussion Ensembles
Neuqua Valley has multiple percussion ensemble opportunities for students.

Klang Studio Percussion Ensemble:
Klang Studio is an auditioned group that rehearses after school on Thursday afternoons from October to May. Students study, rehearse and perform a wide variety of percussion ensemble and world music repertoire. Audition info is announced at the beginning of
each school year in music classes. Recent highlights include our 2023 Klang Percussion Concert and a guest artist performance with Anders Astrand.

Klang Curricular Percussion Ensembles:
The Klang curricular percussion ensembles are percussion groups formed from the percussion sections of each band class. Students rehearse during their band classes in school from February to May and perform a piece on our spring percussion concert, the Klangfarbenmelodie Concert.

Klangfarbenmelodie Percussion Ensemble Concert:
Our yearly percussion ensemble concert features performances from the Klang Studio Percussion Ensemble, the Klang Curricular Percussion Ensembles, and the Neuqua Valley Steel Bands! Our Spring 2024 concert will be held on Thursday May 2nd at the NVHS Main Auditorium.
